Learn to Sail – It’s Accessible to Everyone!

Would you like to charter without a skipper? Learn how to sail? Become fully autonomous? At our cruising school, Philisa APACA, we offer sailing courses tailored to your goals. Whatever your level, you’ll find the course that suits you best.

OUR SAILING COURSES A few days of training are not enough to handle a catamaran independently! Just like riding a bike, sailing is learned step by step. That’s why we redesigned our entire programme. This training catalogue now allows us to offer a course for every stage of your progression — from discovery to skipper level.

  • Initiation (2 days): An introduction to sailing and cruising on a catamaran.
  • Beginner Level (3 days): Learn to sail confidently and take on the role of crew member with ease.
  • Intermediate Level (3 days): Designed for sailors who want to strengthen their skills and take on the positions of watch leader or skipper. Passage / Crossing: Once you know how to sail, you’re ready for multi‑day cruises and night sailing (e.g. Hyères–Corsica). To complement our charter offer, we have added a brand‑new option!
  • Pre‑charter (1 day): For those with good monohull experience or anyone wanting to get familiar with catamaran handling before their rental. A certified instructor will teach you all the specificities of multihull sailing.

OUR SPECIALISED COURSES You feel confident at sea but want to strengthen specific skills?

  • Harbour manoeuvres, safety at sea, weather… our specialised modules are made for you.
  • Engine Manoeuvres (2 days): Handling a boat in a harbour is one of the main challenges for renters and owners. This course will train you to manoeuvre safely and confidently. Safety at Sea (4 days): Safety should never be taken lightly. You’ll learn how to react to unexpected situations and emergencies.

OUR CUSTOMISED COURSES Because your needs are unique, we design a course together that fits your exact goals.

  • Owner Training: You have just purchased a beautiful boat (catamaran, monohull, motorboat) and want proper handover training? An instructor comes aboard to teach you everything you need to know.
  • Tailor‑Made Modules: Because your sailing project is unique, we listen to your needs and build a personalised programme. Examples: preparation for long crossings, corporate events, training before boat ownership, family sailing courses…
